The real cost of a missed call

Most local businesses answer somewhere between 50% and 70% of inbound calls. The rest go to voicemail, and roughly four out of five callers who hit voicemail never leave a message — they call the next name on the list.

If your average job is worth $420 and you miss twelve calls a week, the arithmetic is unkind. At a 30% close rate that's about $1,500 of gone-forever revenue every week, and none of it shows up in your books. It's invisible loss: nobody files a report about the customer who never became one.

The instinct is to hire. But a front desk hire covers 40 hours in a week that has 168, and the calls that convert best — evenings, weekends, the ten minutes after a competitor didn't pick up — fall outside those hours.

What we build instead is coverage: an AI receptionist that answers on the first ring, at 2am on a Sunday, knows your service area, quotes your standard pricing, and books straight into your calendar. Not a phone tree. A conversation.

The metric we care about is answer rate. Get it to 100% and the leak closes on its own.
